ABA Center for Applied Behavior Analysis and Comprehensive Therapy – Sofia, Nadezhda District
Driven by our mission to provide timely, accessible, and high-quality care for the ever-increasing number of children with autism and their families, the "Autism Today" Association has expanded its network with a new therapeutic center in Sofia – Nadezhda District.
The building and space for the new center were provided with the support of Sofia Municipality, while their transformation into a modern, safe, and welcoming therapeutic home was made possible through the dedicated efforts, donations, and big hearts of many friends and partners of our cause.
The new center in Nadezhda District allows dozens more children with autism spectrum disorders, behavioral challenges, attention deficit, and hyperactivity to receive professional support meeting the highest global standards.
At the core of our work is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) – the most powerful and scientifically proven method worldwide for behavior modification, building socially acceptable habits, and enhancing communication skills. The science of ABA uses positive reinforcement for socially desirable behaviors, thereby helping the child reach their full potential.
Starting behavioral therapy at an early age – around or shortly after the child's second birthday, upon noticing the first markers – is of utmost importance. Early intervention offers a chance for such rapid and sustainable development of social and language skills that, in many cases, by the age of five, children no longer require additional support and can successfully integrate into mainstream schooling. At the same time, regardless of the age at which behavioral therapy begins, it strongly empowers the child to achieve their maximum capacity and build an independent, dignified life.
At the Nadezhda Center, the "Autism Today" Association offers a comprehensive, highly specialized service:
-
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), delivered under the continuous, direct supervision of board-certified behavior analysts (BCBA).
-
Monthly monitoring and re-evaluation of each child's individual development plan in collaboration with supervisors.
-
A multidisciplinary approach, combining adapted occupational therapy and speech therapy, both conducted under ongoing supervision by highly qualified experts.
Brought together under one roof, these therapeutic disciplines guarantee a complete, top-tier cycle of care, supporting children and their parents on their journey toward their everyday small, yet giant victories.
