Dr. Vladislava Tzolova is a Bulgarian nonprofit leader, researcher, and executive with extensive professional experience spanning finance, law, organizational management, education, and social policy. She is the Founder and Chairperson of Autism Today Bulgaria and the founder of its network of specialized ABA centers for behavioral and multidisciplinary therapeutic support.

Dr. Tzolova has an educational background in finance and law and holds Master's degrees in Human Resource Management, Psychology, and Educational Management.
In 2026, she successfully defended her doctoral dissertation in Economics, within the doctoral programme in Finance, Insurance and Social Security, entitled "Managerial and Financial Aspects of Activities Related to Corporate Social Responsibility in Bulgaria," under the academic supervision of Professor Yulia Dobreva, DSc.
Her research interests focus on corporate social responsibility, sustainable governance, the relationship between the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, social impact, and financial mechanisms supporting long-term societal development.

She previously served as Chairperson of Bulgaria's National Patients' Organization, contributing to public dialogue on healthcare policy, patients' rights, and the development of sustainable mechanisms for protecting the public interest.

Founding and Development of Autism Today Bulgaria
In 2014, Dr. Tzolova founded Autism Today Bulgaria as a public-benefit nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing professional support for children with autism and their families.
In 2015, she established the first Autism Today ABA Center in Sofia, laying the foundations for a sustainable model of specialized behavioral and multidisciplinary therapeutic support.
Under her leadership, Autism Today has expanded into a network of six specialized centers across Bulgaria.
The organization's services combine individualized, evidence-informed approaches with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), psychological support, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, and family-centered collaboration.

My name is Velislava Petkova, and I work as a psychologist at the "Autism Today" association. I hold a master's degree in Public Relations from the University of Economics – Varna, as well as a qualification in Psychology from the University of Veliko Tarnovo "St. St. Cyril and Methodius."
I have participated in student internship programs for intercultural exchange in India and Sri Lanka. I have completed certified training in the energy system "Reiki" up to the third level.
I believe that in our collaborative work with children, one of the most important prerequisites for progress is building trust and acceptance, as well as emotional support and mutual understanding from the parents.
I feel fulfilled when I see how all the small steps into the inner world of children lead to positive results in their emotional and behavioral development.

My name is Lilian Marinova, and I work as a psychologist at the "Autism Today" association.
I completed my bachelor's degree in psychology at Plovdiv University "Paisii Hilendarski" and a postgraduate qualification in child and adolescent psychology at the Medical University of Plovdiv.
My motivation to study psychology was driven by my desire to help those in need. Children have always brought me joy and satisfaction. What could be better than working in a field that makes you happy?
To me, children are like suns that deserve a chance for a bright future. Being part of the team at the "Autism Today" association brings me fulfillment and inspiration.

My name is Marina Nikleva and I am a social pedagogue in the association "Autism Today". I graduated in "Pedagogy of Bulgarian Language and History" at "Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" University, Burgas. I am married and a mother of three children.
I believe that every child is different, special and deserves love, care, dedication and personal attention. Entering the association, I saw exactly this in the work of colleagues and realized that I had found the place for me. The opportunity to work, develop, build together with them and the children makes me happy!

I completed my bachelor's degree in Kinesitherapy at the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev" and earned my master's degree at the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski," specializing in Kinesitherapy for musculoskeletal dysfunctions.

For me, it is an honor and a deep responsibility to be part of this cause – a cause that changes lives, inspires, and teaches us to become better people. My work is not just a profession – it is a calling that guides me every day with heart and purpose.
I graduated in Social Pedagogy from the “Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov” University in Burgas, as well as postgraduate qualification in Modern Aspects of Education in Kindergarten and Primary School. I believe that knowledge and humanity go hand in hand – especially when it comes to working with children with special needs.
I am a creative person – inspired by the world of children, by their sincere smiles and the small victories that sometimes say more than a thousand words. I graduated with a bachelor's degree in psychology from Radboud University in the Netherlands. Driven by my desire to direct my professional path towards working with children and youth, I continued my education with a master's program in Youth Development and Social Change in Utrecht, the Netherlands.
After graduating, I decided to return to Bulgaria, where I could apply the acquired knowledge and continue my professional development. I am glad to have this opportunity as part of the Autism Today team.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Applied Psychology from Paisii Hilendarski University of Plovdiv.
Working with children brings me genuine fulfillment, and every new skill they acquire is a source of joy and motivation for me. I enjoy observing each child’s individual progress and finding the approach that best meets their needs and interests. I believe that patience, acceptance, consistency, and positive support are an important part of building trust and fostering the child’s successful development. For me, it is especially valuable to be part of the process in which a child gradually gains more confidence, independence, and new skills. My greatest reward is seeing the child’s smile and hearing them say, “I can,” after we have achieved something new together.
