Speech therapist / Behavioral therapist
Boryana Todorova
Hello!
My professional destiny, recognized as a personal mission over the last 15 years of my life, is to work with children with special needs and their parents. I came into this field by chance and for a short time, but I quickly realized that a part of my heart remained here.
I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in "Psychology with Psychotherapy" in the UK and Masters in "Special Education: Resource Teacher" and "Speech Therapy".
Over the past 15 years, I have worked with children, adolescents and their parents as a resource teacher, pedagogical advisor and social worker in London. Some of my administrative duties so far have included: preparing an assessment of children's support needs, preparing a work plan, preparing an individual program for each child, working with parents of children with SEN to encourage their self-esteem and confidence that their children are the most wonderful creatures in the world, for whom we will all spare no effort to accept, love and challenge them to be the best version of themselves.
I am convinced that children with SEN are in our lives to teach us how to love and accept, to know how to be loved and accepted and to enjoy life to the fullest.
I believe that every child deserves to find the methods, to be educated with dignity, accepted and respected for the qualities they have; and every parent should be calm that their child will receive the best education, attitude and future, because we are all different and deserve to be respected, accepted and loved for who we are.
The message I would like to leave in the minds of every child I have worked with is:
"Dear Child, work hard to develop your qualities, but respect and love yourself, because there is no one else like you in the world."
